Explain this to me...

CBS is advertising a new show for the summer called Swingtown. Set in the 70's, it's about a couple who move into a new area and find out that all the couples in their new social circle are swingers.

What? Really, come on.

What has television programming come to? Could they not create anything better than this?

I don't normally get fired up about what's on television. I watch what I want and ignore what I don't want to see. But something about this just sat wrong with me. I'm sick of hearing people say that gay marriage is an attack on marriage.

This show is an attack on marriage.

Two people in love who are committed to be only with each other - NOT an attack on marriage.

Springtime

Springtime in the Bluegrass is a mystery. Mother Nature knows it's Derby week and she sends whatever crazy weather she likes.

Friday was the first time I've ever done the infield and I went to the Oaks. I was drenched. Drenched like I went swimming completely dressed.

But Saturday was quite pretty, and today is gorgeous. Why the whole weekend couldn't have been like today is beyond me!

At any rate, I only lost 3.80 on the ponies and had a good time catching up with some girlfriends from high school. The highlight of the day was running into my OBGYN, Gigi. There's nothing like hugging a woman who has seen more of you than you have!
