Vacay was great!!!

We all made it back from vacation and are no worse for the wear! Gatlinburg was HOTTT but we had good weather the whole time and that was good.

E loved walking the streets in search of dogs and when she saw them she would kick and flail with glee and say "dog dog dog bow wow wow".

The trouble with lunch...

So Sunday night I had to travel to Somerset for work and do a fair at Somerset Community College Monday morning. I finished my work and since there's nothing really to eat in Somerset and nothing at all on the Cumberland Parkway, I decided to go to Friday's in Bowling Green for lunch.

I was all set for my gardenburger with cheese, fries and a coke. YUMMM

I open my menu and to my horror, they have added "Meat Mania" and taken away the gardenburger!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AAAAAHHHHH!!!!! I'm all for meat and those who are manic for meat, but leave me something too please!

I politely explained that was why I came to the restaurant and left.

I headed to Applebee's and ordered my fave dish - Chicken Fajita Rollup, no chicken, fries and sweet tea.

I took my first bite of the rollup and realized I was chewing something tough. I took it out of my mouth and unrolled it to discover I was eating a piece of masking tape with writing on it.

I think steam came out of my ears!

I got free dessert and 20% off the lunch.

Goat herding...

My parents live next door to a farmer and the farmer's pasture runs parallel to my parent's backyard. He has quite a collection of animals, a potpourri if you will. He has a llama named Edgar, a dog named Frank, 4 cows, and 4 goats - two of which are named Betty. One Betty is white and the other Betty is brown and I've nicknamed them Brown Betty and White Betty.

Well, both Betties have had baby goats in the last few weeks and they like to get out from under their side of the fence and roam around in my parents yard.

We took E over to play with Papa on Tuesday night and two of the baby goats were on our side of the fence. J & E took off up through the field to attempt to herd the goats back under the fence. They swung wide through the field and went past the goats and then worked their way back along the fence to move the goats toward a place they could fit back under the fence. One little goat went back under. The other little goat got scared and jumped and ran straight for E! Well, my dad & I are watching all this and all of a sudden we see J jump toward E and the next thing we know he has swooped her up just in the nick of time as the goat is running wild! J would have never lived it down if he had let that baby get run over by a goat!

After getting it's head stuck under the fence, crying & getting his mommy Brown Betty all upset and mad, it finally got back under the fence and we were done with animals for the night.

Needless to say after all that work our little farmer was pooped and she went straight to bed and didn't fuss a bit! Maybe we'll have to herd goats every night!
